Multi-Component Vehicle Model: Textures and Rendering

Hi everyone!

For this post I want to present the final version of my medieval flying boat. I found textures online from multiple sites. I started looking for a wood texture which I found in the following website: . This guys has pretty cool stuff that you should check out too! 🙂 I also needed a metal texture, but I wanted a texture that might portray a medieval theme, and I found a collection of metal textures that are pretty cool from this guy in deviantart: http://jojo-ojoj.deviantart.com/art/Metal-seamless-texture-pack-2-472823291. The last texture I found was one for the clothing parts of my ship, for this I used the texture of a canvas I found online.

After putting the textures together, after playing around with the UVs and added some lighting to the scene I got my ship ready to be rendered through maya’s ray rendered.

My ship is ready to be animated! 😀 This will be done for my last assignment for my Modeling and Animation class where I will put together the medieval scenery and my boat!  I am looking forward to it! haha!

Until next time!
